La Convention de la Haye du 29 mai 1993 sur la protection des enfants et la coopération en matière d'adoption internationale est en vigueur en Australie depuis le 1er décembre 1998.1) L'adoption par des couples homosexuels est autorisée dans le territoire de la capitale (Australian Capital Territory) et le territoire de l'Ouest (Western Australia) 2).
